Tom and Sandy are the only Spring 2000 crewmembers who actually went to sea with us.  As you can see they signed on in Antigua and signed off in St. Croix.  In the process of getting from point A to point B we spent some time in St. Barts and St. Martin.
We left English Harbor, Antigua at 0300 one morning and motored to St. Barths arriving late that afternoon.  After a few days in St. Barths (during which time Sandy swears she saw George Hamilton riding a moped) we took a day to sail to St. Martin.  We spent a day on the Dutch side then a day on the French side then sailed overnight to St. Croix.
In St. Croix we met up with Tom and Sandy's friend Laura Ballard who took us all under her wing for a few days.  Laura gave us guided tours of the island, took us out on her boat to Buck Island for a day of "limin" and generally was a fantastic hostess.  Seeing the sights with a local is far far superior to wandering randomly like we so often do.
