As you can see Arlen and Kathy have been with us
twice. The first year I think Kathy was a little hesitant to make
the commitment to fly all the way to the Virgin Islands with no
guarantee that there would be anyone there to meet them. Arlen had
more confidence in the skipper so they made the leap and, lo and behold,
we were there. |
We spent nearly two weeks cruising the US and British
Virgin Islands in perfect conditions. Our last BVI port or call
was the relatively undeveloped island of Jost Van Dyke. It was our
favorite because of the setting, the people, and because of a certain
photo shoot that Arlen observed very closely. |
In 2001 Kathy probably had more reason to be concerned
because we weren't able to communicate with folks from the Bahamas very
well. Once again they made the leap and, once again, we were there
to meet them. We cruised south from Nassau to the northern portion
of the Exuma chain of islands. They were much more primitive and
less developed than even Jost Van Dyke. They weather was
beautiful, the water was beautiful and we had several beaches to
ourselves (except for the resident sharks and rays of course). |
