Sister in the Bahamas

A right neighborly Pilot Whale

Early one morning on our way from one spot to another we spotted a group of 50 or so pilot whales cruising off to starboard a mile or so.  We motored over until we were in their path, stopped the motor and drifted until the school began to pass us. We were pretty much in the middle of them.
The whales were so docile that I believe they were actually asleep.  This guy came very close to us and seemed to wake up surprised to see us.  Pretty much right after he woke up he dived and we didn't see him again.
